Warrington Arpley
Bridge over the River Mersey at Warrington Arpley, now only seeing occasional use by locomotives and freight trains from Liverpool accessing Arpley yard and maintenance depot. Photo taken from the Widerspool Road bridge in November 2024. The main signal seen here is now fixed, but trains needing to access the run round loop can be called forward by the shunt signal. Now closed Unilver factory in the distance by Warrington Bank Quay station.
