44871 now arrived back at London Victoria with the conclusion of The Railway Touring Company's Armistice Day excursion to Canterbury West and back, at 18.25 on 11th November 2024. A two minutes silence had taken place on this train at 11.00 at Charing station, on the Maidstone East line in Kent, after it had stopped there for water. The return from Canterbury West was via Minster, Sandwich, Deal, Dover Priory, Folkestone West, Tonbridge, Sevenoaks and Bat & Ball before rejoining its outward route at Otford.
