Cotherstone

Cotherstone station which opened in May 1868 was a single platform halt on the old Tees Valley Railway from Barnard Castle to Middleton-in-Teesdale which was built to transport stone from the various quarries at Middleton. The station closed with the line in November 1964 and is now a private residence however much of the line forms the Tees Valley Railway path.
