Berryden Junction

Berryden Junction is just north of the site of Hutcheon Street station, and was created as part of the work to redouble the line towards Inverurie. The section from here into Aberdeen station remains single track to avoid major engineering work in Hutcheon Street and Schoolhill tunnels. The shot was taken on 3rd December 2024 and includes 158723 with the 08.56 Inverness - Aberdeen service. Vegetation growth since 2020 can be judged by viewing image 72251.
