Aviemore Speyside

Andrew Barclay 14'' 0-4-0ST 'Clyde', formerly of Braehead Power Station, at Aviemore where Strathspey Railway track was being re-positioned away from BR's point rodding in 1985. The loco's oval buffers had been salvaged from a Clayton Type 1. One day, on a light engine movement to Boat of Garten, we found on arrival that a buffer had dropped off. Cue a careful retracing of our steps to recover it!
