Newcastle Central
After just over sixty years, Ashington is back on the destination boards at Newcastle, seen here at 12.24 on Tuesday, 17th December 2024. The line had originally closed on 2nd November 1964, but stayed open for freight and was reopened to passengers two days before I took this photo while reluctantly waiting to go home to London.
