Handforth

Handforth briefly became well known when the Zoom call 'debates' at the then Parish Council made national and international news. The station is a an interesting spot, between Cheadle Hulme and Wilmslow. The 'Friends' group keep everything in good order and there are three distinctive old signs displayed on the platforms, including this LMR Maroon example that presumably once stood at the station entrance. 323202, a former West Midlands unit, calls at Handforth on a Piccadilly to Crewe service on 6th January 2025.
