Borthwick Bank Signal Box

Yet another photograph I should have taken when it was still open ..... Borthwick Bank signal box in August 1968 about a month or so after it closed on 7th July. Other than lengthening the block section from Hardengreen southbound this closure directly affected the 17.11 Edinburgh - Gorebridge working, which now had to run to Heriot to crossover then return to Eskbank where it formed a service to Edinburgh.
