Ellon
The Buchan and Mearns railtour pauses for a photo stop at Ellon on 26th May 1973 on the way back from Fraserburgh. Until October1932 the far side of the island platform was used for passenger trains on the Boddam branch, with Ellon itself closing in October 1965 although goods traffic continued until September 1967. The line remained in use to serve Fraserburgh until October 1979 when the branch from Dyce was closed throughout.
