Romford

Romford, looking east along what are now the Elizabeth Line platforms, at 15.11 on Tuesday, 11th February 2025. This station, still theoretically in the County of Essex but now within Greater east London, was opened by the Eastern Counties Railway on 20th June 1839. Out of view on the right are the main line platforms, served mostly by semi-fast trains from Liverpool Street to Colchester Town and also passed through by fast trains to and from Colchester, Ipswich, Stowmarket, Diss and Norwich.
