Aberbeeg
Aberbeeg looking north in October 1979, with the remains of the station (closed 1962) visible. The line to the left is heading to Ebbw Vale and is still open, regaining a passenger service in 2015, and to the right can be seen the line which originally ran to Brynmawr via Abertillery. At the time the shot was taken it had been cut back to Rose Heyworth Colliery, which closed in 1986 so Aberbeeg was no longer a junction. The signal box lasted until December 1997.
