Just south of Healey Dell Viaduct are two bridges, on the hillside above the River Spodden with a stream flowing beneath. Folklore is that the first was built but started to slide down the hillside and so a second was built and joined to it. There is certainly a huge abutment below supporting them, but it could just be that the contractor built the first bridge in the wrong place. Because of their 'conjoined' nature they were known as the 'Siamese' bridges but as part of the Healey Dell nature trail they are now simply the 'Twin Bridges'.
