Brockley Whins
Brockley Whins station, situated between Pelaw and Sunderland, photographed in October 2008. Renamed Boldon Colliery by the LNER in 1925 it reverted to its previous name in 1991 and from the end of March 2002 became part of the Tyne and Wear Metro. On the right of the shot, 66527 is coming off the branch from the Tyne Coal Terminal but my sloppy record keeping did not keep a note of the destination.
