Deveron Viaduct

The current Deveron Viaduct at Rothiemay was built at the end of the 1890s, when the line to Keith was being doubled and as a consequence the original single track masonry bridge fell into disuse. This was sited to the north side of the viaduct now in use (which itself was singled in 1970) and managed to survive until it was demolished in 1978 or so. This shot dates from either late 1977 or early 1978.
