This is the east side of the Glenfarg Viaduct seen in a view looking north. The viaduct carried the North British's line over the B996 and the River Farg before the line plunged into the southern of two tunnels. There were many engineering features on the line between Mawcarse Junction and Bridge of Earn, such as deep cuttings, but the bridges in Glen Farg and the two tunnels really show the company's commitment to building a main line worthy of the investment in the Forth Bridge and resulted in a vastly improved Edinburgh to Perth route.
