Banavie
The weather could not have been more perfect for the return of steam to the West Highlands after an absence of 21 years. Black 5 5407, beautifully turned out for the occasion, made two return trips along the Mallaig extension on Sunday 27th May 1984. She is seen here approaching Banavie with the first train.
