Passing view of the site of Lewisham Road station on 7th April 2025. This opened in 1871 with the line from Nunhead to Blackheath Hill, extended one stop to Greenwich Park in 1888. The line closed in 1917 as a WWI economy but in 1929 the section from Nunhead to just east of Lewisham Road was reopened, with a new spur into Lewisham station allowing trains from the south-east lines into Victoria, although for many years this was peak hours only. However, Lewisham Road and Brockley Lane were not reopened and the line to Greenwich Park was lifted and stations demolished.
