Cardiff Central

37187 brings the empty stock into Cardiff to form the 1615 departure to Portsmouth Harbour on 19th September 1983. The loco would work the train as far as Bristol Temple Meads. This was a boiler fitted South Wales 37 and thus more common on passenger workings. Not required for haulage by the masses, unlike some of the very rare non-boiler coal machines.
