Abbey of Deer Halt

Looking towards Mintlaw and Peterhead, at the site of Abbey of Deer Halt, on 15th April 2025. It was opened by the LNER in the 1930s for visitors to the nearby abbey, but only comprised a tiny sleeper platform. Clearly unsuccessful it closed the same decade and there is obviously no trace now. The Formartine and Buchan Way route from Maud Junction passes through the site and continues on the other side of the minor road all the way to Peterhead.
