The very restricted view forward from Dutch 'Class 11' NS 663 on the Ribble Steam Railway demonstrates why driving controls are duplicated left and right. The loco is passing through the station during an organised evening visit on 11th June 2025. Until recently the siding on the far right would have contained bitumen tankers but that freight flow ended recently and RSR heritage wagons are now stored there.
