Finchley Road (Met)

Finchley Road, LU Metropolitan and Jubilee Lines, looking towards central London, at 11.44 on Saturday, 22nd March 2025. The station was opened by the Metropolitan Railway on 30th June 1879 with the extension from Swiss Cottage to Willesden Green and was rebuilt in 1939 for when Bakerloo Line trains took over the local services to Stanmore, starting on 20th November that year. These were then transferred to the LU Jubilee Line on 1st May 1979. Metropolitan Line trains use the outer platforms and Jubilee Line trains the centre, allowing convenient cross-platform interchange.
