Balornock Shed: Caley Single 123 takes an afternoon SLS excursion from Glasgow Buchanan Street to Callander past Balornock depot at St Rollox on 10th October 1964. The loco is now displayed at the Glasgow Riverside Museum. The two carriages, also ex-Caledonian Railway, are kept at Bo'ness and still see occasional use.

Cricklade: S&CR volunteers are clearing half a mile of trackbed towards Cricklade and have made good progress, sixty years after the line closed. Vegetation has been removed and ditches cleared. This view northwards in March 2021.

Halton [NWR]: Immediately on the Lancaster side of Halton station the trackbed cyclepath is carried over the Denny Beck by this substantial bridge. The deck appears to be the original (Little) North Western Railway structure but the stone parapets perhaps a more recent addition. The confluence with the River Lune is immediately behind the camera.

Millerhill Marshalling Yard [North]: Freights about to pass at the north end of Millerhill Yard in December 2002. Running back from the centre of the picture is the turnback siding installed for use of passenger services terminating at Newcraighall station, which had opened in June of that year.

Stonehaven: Scotrail 158701 (11:44) out of Stonehaven to Montrose passing the preparation works by QTS to improve drainage from that field. QTS have started to set up a work camp at the top of the field out of view and I am not too sure what they are all going to be doing but was told they are putting a drainage culvert down the side of the track. I can confirm the ground at the top is always water logged if I go walking in the forest which is also out of view.

Hutton Cranswick: Hutton Cranswick, around mid way between Driffield and Beverley, looks to be a well used intermediate station in a thriving village, with a small car park and better than normal shelters. The southbound shelter contains a ticket machine. The former station house and goods shed are both sited alongside the northbound platform. Station Road level crossing is at the south end of the platforms. The view is of the former goods shed which appears to now be in residential use, after being used as a plastics factory in previous years.

Dundee: A London Kings Cross service calls at Dundee in GNER days. Looking it up I see that 'GNER days' covers nearly 12 years, though it is hard to believe it was anything like that. Surely this doesn't mean I'm getting old?

Woodside [Tram]: Tram 2558 to Elmers End arriving at Woodside, on the east side of Croydon, during the going down of the sun on the evening of 10th November 2012. Trams here run along the course of a former British Rail line, beginning in 2000, and the tram stop is on the site of the original Woodside heavy rail station. Croydon trams no longer carry route numbers.
