Barking: 66557 at Barking with 4M56, the 1257 London Gateway to Garston service on 11th January 2024.
East Linton: A totem sign for 'East Linton' at the new station on the day of its opening.
Carlisle: Colas 56049 and 56098 power through Carlisle station with 6J37, the Kingmoor to Chirk logs, on 12th January 2024. The train later failed at Whalley with low power on 56049 and was eventually terminated at Blackburn, nearly ten hours late, to be rescued the following day.
Sandhills: Merseyrail Class 508 EMU 508108 runs into Sandhills station on 16 November 2023 with the 16.36 ex Hunts Cross service, forming the slightly late 16.59 departure to Southport. Two months later, on 15 January, this unit was hauled to Sims Metals at Newport for scrapping.
Hindley: Electrification preparation work at Hindley meant that the station was closed for several months but trains are now calling again. Two Class 769 hybrids pass on 10th January 2024, in this view from the Deep Pit footbridge. The road bridge outside the station entrance has been completely rebuilt with the solum from four track days used as a works compound.
Doune: In 1988 the large goods shed at Doune station still stood, in use by Doune Motors Ltd. This view looks west from the south side of the building with the west end of then still intact island platform in the distance.
