Perth: On 26/01/2024 a Scotrail HST approaches Platform 7 at Perth with 1H17, the 13.29 Edinburgh - Inverness

Ormskirk: Northern Trains Super Sprinter 156455 seen during its five minute turn round at Ormskirk, after arrival with the 13.10 ex Preston service which connects with the 13.49 Merseyrail service through to Liverpool Central. See image [[88232]].

Rose Bridge Junction: The substantial stonework around Lock 73 in Wigan indicates this is the point where the Whelley Loop line emerged from the cutting on the right and crossed the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. Until 1973, a photo here might have included a Class 50 with a diverted express train. Rose Bridge Junction was a short distance south east of the bridge, with a curve to Kirkless Hall Junction on the freight only Springs Branch. The canal basin had been drained to allow work on Lock 73 and another higher up the flight during the 2023/24 winter period.

Harworth Main Colliery: 47853 heads away from Harworth Colliery with Pathfinder Tours 'Joint Line Jester' tour which had come from Reading on 17th January 2004. I don't recall many tours that went to Harworth. 56062 was also involved top n' tail.

Stockingfield Junction [Canal]: This is a view of one of the arms of the Stockingfield Bridge, this arm crossing over the Grangemouth route of the canal from Stockingfield Junction. The view shows the viewpoint over the bridge at Ruchill.
