Uffington: A swift trip to Uffington on 17th June 2025 to catch a few freight trains passing by - and a very pleasant surprise, 60103 'Flying Scotsman' at 1227 hours. Westbound from the Didcot Railway Museum to the West Somerset Railway running as 5Z81. Shown on RTT as an empty coaching stock move, 60mph, 715 tons and diesel powered. I had hoped for a 37 but as you can see FS turned up with its support coach.

Dunkeld and Birnam: A ceremony at Dunkeld and Birnam, attended by First Minister Swinney on 5th June 2025, marked the completion of the station improvement works, and in particular the provision of new accessibility arrangements.

Balquhidder [1st]: Balquhidder was the start of the over five mile relentless climb into and then up Glen Ogle to Glenoglehead Crossing. This is near the start of the climb, a little north of the site of the original Lochearnhead/Balquhidder station. View looks north.
