Barr & McNab's foundry bounded by North Croft Street (south), Abercorn Street (west), Niddry Street (north) and McFarlane's Lane (east). To the west, over Abercorn Street was the Abercorn Shipbuilding Yard. Barr & McNab operated here between 1832 and 1845 before relocated to Renfrew.
A 2-2-2 locomotive, called 'Hawk' for Thomas Brassey, for the Glasgow, Paisley and Greenock Railway.
Two 0-4-0 locomotives, 'Firefly' and 'King Cole' for the Ardrossan Railway. (Also 0-4-0 'Eglinton' and 'Blair' for the Ardrossan and Johnstone Railway (1840) (appears to clash with Firefly and King Cole - same locomotives renamed?) Both later used by the Ardrossan Harbour Company at Ardrossan, formed 1886.)
Steamers PS Pilot, PS Pioneer [I] and PS Petrel for the Railway Steam Packet Company (owned by the Glasgow, Paisley and Greenock Railway).
The foundry changed hands several times and was later owned by Hanna & Donald, Hanna, Donald & Wilson and the Abercorn Shipbuilding Co.
Now Wallneuk North Church.
