Bonnington North Junction (1868-1926)

Opened on the Easter Road Deviation (North British Railway).

Description

This was the western end of a west to east curve, connecting to Bonnington East Junction, which allowed through running from North Leith to Granton.

The curve was out of use except for access to Chancelot Mill [1st] by 1895, the connection being severed at Bonnington North. Access to the mills was via Bonnington East Junction with a reversal just short of the former Bonnington North Junction. The box closed in 1926.
