East Cornwall Mineral Railway converted from 3ft 6in to Standard Gauge by the Plymouth, Devonport and South Western Junction Railway to form the Callington branch and re-opened. Stations opened at Gunnislake [1st] (was Drakewalls Depot), Latchley Halt (was Cox's Park Depot), Stock Climsland (was Monks Corner Depot), Callington Road (was Kellicray Goods). Calstock Quay and approach closed. Calstock was opened on a new approach to the line from Beer Alston (later Bere Alston).
