Carlisle Kingmoor Shed (1876-1968)

Opened on the Caledonian Railway.

Description

This double ended shed was located on the east side of the Caledonian Railway, approached from the south.

British Railways assigned the code 68A and sub shed Durranhill Shed. Later 12A.

The shed was replaced with a diesel motive power depot on the west side of the Caledonian Railway across from the steam shed, formerly a yard.

The site of the shed is now a wildlife sanctuary.
