Opened on the Drogheda Curve (Dublin and Drogheda Railway and London and North Western Railway).
Opened on the North Wall Extension (Great Southern and Western Railway).
Opened on the Drumcondra and North Dublin Link Railway.
This was a complicated junction which gave several lines access to Dublin's North Wall quays..
Before the junction
1864
North Wall Extension (Midland Great Western Railway)
Alignment opened through the site from Liffey Junction to North Wall Goods [MGWR]. This alignment curved from west to south to the immediate west of Church Road Junction.
1869
Drogheda Curve (Dublin and Drogheda Railway and London and North Western Railway)
This short joint line ran through the side of the later formed junction, from East Wall Junction to North Wall [LNWR].

1877
North Wall Extension (Great Southern and Western Railway)
A short connecting line was opened from West Road Junction (on the existing MGWR curve to the west) to Church Road Junction.
1878
Drogheda Curve (Dublin and Drogheda Railway and London and North Western Railway)
Ownership of line split at the obvious boundary of Church Road Junction with the line to the north to East Wall Junction transferred to the Dublin and Drogheda Railway and the line to the south to North Wall [LNWR] transferred to the London and North Western Railway.
1886
North Wall Extension (Great Southern and Western Railway)
Goods line to North Wall Goods [GSWR] opened east from Church Road Junction.
1901
Drumcondra and North Dublin Link Railway
Approaching from the north this makes a junction with the short GSWR West Road Junction to Church Road Junction connecting line immediately north of the existing Church Road Junction.
