This was an iron lattice girder bridge carrying a road over the River Dee south of the former Crathes station (of 1863). The bridge was opened in 1862 and designed by John Willet of Aberdeen.
The bridge was replaced with a new one on a slightly different alignment to the west in the mid 1970s. The central pier still stands in the river.
