This colliery was west of Bathgate. It was developed by the Balbardie Colliery Company. From 1939 it was owned by Bairds and Scottish Steel. Easton Farm was to its north.
The colliery was rail served. A short mineral line ran from Bathgate Lower entering from the east.
The mine closed in 1973 when the line was abandoned.
The site is now farmland and forest.
