Esperston Quarry (1879-1941)

Served by the Esperston Lime Works Railway.

Description

The Esperston Lime Works and Quarry were south of Fushiebridge [1st] and were served by a long mineral line from the station. The line terminated at a loading point at the lime works, with tramways reaching from the works into the quarry.

The disused quarry, various worker cottages and portions of the works remain today.
