Description

The Flichity Estate was the home of William Beardmore [Junior], the famous industrialist. The estate was to lead to his title, 1st Baron Invernairn of Strathnairn.

He bought the estate in 1901 and the house was rebuilt and enlarged for him around 1907. He died at the estate in 1936. His wife Elspeth Tullis died in 1955.

In the grounds was an Atholl Steel House, a prototype for the company he had jointly with the Duke of Atholl, Atholl Steel Houses.
