Alumina was brought from the Lyle Hill Mines to the works and additional supplies came from overseas. Vessels operated on a triangular route bringing bauxite from Larne to Foyers Aluminium Works, then returning to Larne via Ayrshire where coal would be picked up for the Larne Works. |
