Description

This single track girder viaduct is just north of Crianlarich station and Crianlarich Junction where the lines to Oban and Fort William divide. Just to the north is the Fillan Viaduct.

The viaduct carries the West Highland Railway and crosses both the A85 and the former Callander and Oban Railway trackbed. It has five spans of 35 ft each. The overall length is 189 ft.

A fine photograph of this bridge appears in John Thomas' book 'The West Highland Railway' titled 'Crianlarich Period Piece, 1938' featuring locomotive 'Loch Arkaig' passing over the bridge, a kilted gentleman talking to the driver of a motorcycle with sidecar paused outside the hotel, and Ben More in the backdrop (page 33).

The viaduct is also known as the Crianlarich Viaduct.
