This was a single platform station to the north of West Gordon, a third of the mile to the north. There was a stone station building, of two storeys, typical of the Berwickshire Railway. The platform was on the south side of the line.
To the east was the goods yard on a loop (similar to goods yards on the Border Union Railway (North British Railway)). The loop was on the south side with a loading bank. A small quarry was to the south. The station briefly had a signal box between 1893 and 1894. It became a ground frame. It was located on the north side of the line.
The line was crossed by a bridge at the west end, sufficient to allow line doubling if needed.
The station closed to passengers in 1948 due to flood damage east of Greenlaw. The line remained open until 1954.
The station building is now a house and the road bridge still stands.
To the west, as the line left Gordon, it passed Greenknowe Tower to the north of the line. Fans Loanend Siding was around three and a half miles to the west.
To the east a minor road crossed the single track line by means of a bridge designed for two lines, which was strengthened with an additional pier in later days. Not surprisingly this bridge was removed after closure.
