Description

This iron works was an engineering works making machine shop equipment; lathes, drills etc. It also manufactured equipment for steam laundries for locations such as hospitals. It was the works of D & J Tullis.

The works was served by a siding from the Glasgow, Dumbarton and Helensburgh Railway, the siding being on the south side of the goods yard at Kilbowie [1st] station and the Singer Workers Platforms.

The site of the former works is now within the Clyde Shopping Centre .
