This was a timber built two road locomotive shed on the east side of Kingussie station and approached from the south. It opened around 1889/90. Its principal use was for the bankers for the climb to Druimuachdar Summit. It was the northern equivalent of Blair Atholl Shed.
There was a turntable. This was to the south of the building.
The shed closed in 1920, its remaining duties absorbed by Aviemore Shed.
Nothing remains of the shed and turntable, although there is a siding (usually in permanent way use).
