Description

This distillery was founded in 1898. It was close to Gilbey's Cottage Halt which served the worker cottages built by Gilbey for the Knockando Distillery.

A Great War timber extraction railway ran south west from this location, crossing over the River Spey to reach Phones Wood. It was in operation from roughly 1917 to 1919. Possibly also referred to as Knockando Timber Siding.
