Middleton Siding (1901-1958)Opened on the Lauder Light Railway.
Description
This siding served Middletoun Farm (note different spelling). The farm is to the west of the former siding.
It was a single siding on the south side of the line, approached from the east, serving a sheepfold. Immediately to the west is the site of a farm track level crossing.
The sheepfold predated the railway!
Middletoun Summit was to the north east.
