Opened on the Port Dundas Branch (Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway). This large fan of sidings was approached from the north, reached by reversal from Craighall Goods, itself a branch from the Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway.
The sidings served Port Dundas and the Port Dundas Distillery. Lines ran into the distillery originally and later fanned out in an area surrounded by bonded warehousing.
There was a track down the east side which crossed North Canal Bank Street to reach the east side of Pinkston Power Station from the north.
