This junction was named Millerston Junction for one year. It was the western approach to Robroyston station and Robroyston Yard.
Four tracks ran west, the southern pair ran to Milton Junction [Glasgow] and the northern to Balornock Junction. To the east the northern lines served Robroyston Yard and the southern passed through Robroyston station. Crossovers at the junction allowed trains to swap between the northern and southern set in either direction.
The signal box, opened 1896, was on the south side of the line.
The line to Balornock Junction (largely for the line to Possil and west to Dumbarton Central) fell out of use in 1966 (officially 1965, although that skirting north round Balornock Shed and the shed itself closed in 1966), the box surviving a further year and closing in 1967.
The M80 now occupies some of the site of the closed line to the west. There is little hint of the former junction here although the very overgrown Robroyston Yard site can be seen to the east, north of the still open line.
