Smardale Viaduct (1875-)Description
This is a double track 12 arch masonry viaduct. It is 237 yds long and 130 ft high.
The viaduct is between Kirkby Stephen (to the south) and Crosby Garrett (to the north) stations.
At its south end the former South Durham and Lancashire Union Railway passed below.
