Flying Scotsman restoration update: classic loco due to return in spring 2012 [Culture24]

The campaign to restore one of Britain’s best-known historic trains, the Flying Scotsman, could be completed in early 2012 after planners at the National Railway Museum in York said they were “extremely close” to returning the locomotive to action.
