Lifeline services hit following failure of one of CalMac's oldest ferries, due to be phased out [The Herald]

Lifeline services to Skye have been cancelled as one of CalMac's oldest vessels, which was to be phased out, has suffered engine problems since Thursday.

Calmac ferry MV Loch Fyne arrives at the linkspan on Mallaig Pier after crossing from Armadale on Skye on 27th July 2018. This vessel was one of two originally built for the Kyle of Localsh to Skye service but made redundant by the bridge.
