As we visit Bath regularly, I thought I would group together my photographs of active railways in this area - anything S&D, including the Gartell railway, being in my S&D photoset.

However, it was reopened in 1985, using about a third of one original platform. Services were increased from two per weekday to eight from December 2013. With its load lightened by some twenty passengers, the 18.02 to Swindon (originating at Westbury, and comprising single unit 153.370) sets out towards Chippenham on 10th October. A canal and a railway line are of particular interest to transport enthusiasts. The load was ballast; I believe this was a 13.20 Westerleigh to Westbury working. This tunnel is restricted to pedestrian use.
