The old terminus at York Place has been abolished, pending completion of the Newhaven extension when a replacement stop across the road at Picardy Place will open. After a pleasant lunchtime meeting and train photoing session with Bill Roberton, I went for another tram ride and, just for a change, I decided to go back by bus from Edinburgh Park to the city centre and then catch another to Gorgie where I was staying with my friend Paul who had other things to do on this day. As a Londoner on holiday, I didn't quite know where I was going but was happy as long as I got to Haymarket. But to my surprise, the route 2 bus eventually turned down a side road and emerged on to Gorgie Road near the South Sub railway bridge, which was exactly where I wanted to get to! 8/8</p><p>18/06/2022<br><small><a href='/contributors/David_Bosher'>David Bosher</a></small></p>
