This steel works was associated with Ravenscraig Steel Works, a finishing plant further rolling strip coil from the works. It was located on the north side of the railway at Gartcosh Junction and rail served. It was originally opened in 1865 by William Gray & Co, known as the Woodneuk Iron Works.
