Team Valley Railway (North Eastern Railway)
Introduction
These lines were built by the North Eastern Railway to complete a new East Coast Main Line approach to Newcastle Central without need of a reversal in that station for northbound trains. Today this is the East Coast Main Line and replaced the older Leamside Line.

| 01/12/1868 | Team Valley Railway (North Eastern Railway) Line opened. |

| 15/01/1872 | Team Valley Railway (North Eastern Railway) Line opened. |
| / /1877 | Lanchester Valley Railway (North Eastern Railway) Spurs opened from Baxter Wood No 1 Junction to Baxter Wood No 2 Junction where a spur split to Dearness Valley Junction (Bishop Auckland Branch (North Eastern Railway)) and Bridge House Junction (Team Valley Railway (North Eastern Railway)). |
